The demo will let you make your way up to World Tier 5 -World Tiers being the game's overall "dynamic difficulty system" - and you'll also have access to a certain amount of resources for crafting and trading, although the crafting system doesn't unlock until you're past the demo, so you might need to save some. You'll be capped at character level 7 but will be able to earn a fourth ability as well as two skill points to spend in the skill tree. You can also try out all four classes - Pyromancer, Trickster, Devastator, and Technomancer - at your leisure and without needing to delete your character, since the demo features six character slots. More side missions will then be available, meaning you can carry on exploring the world. It won't feature achievements, but your progress will transfer if you buy the main game.Īs for what the demo does include, it's a lot, starting with the game's prologue and opening chapter, and taking you up to a boss fight against an Altered called Gauss. It's a chunky demo but don't worry about needing to rush it - there's no time limit and it will be live up to and beyond the launch of the game in April.
